As many of you know, I’m in Doha, Qatar for the iEARN 2013 global education conference.
As part of my contribution to the conference festivities, I’m running my first Global Classroom Workshop, exploring the topic: “Connecting Globally via Twitter & the #globalclassroom Chats“.
As part of this workshop, we will be running a special LIVE #globalclassroom chat for the duration of the Twitter workshop. I’d like to invite our international global educators to participate in the chat, and provide a warm welcome to the iEARN teachers tweeting from the workshop.
This will be a more informal #globalclassroom chat than usual, so we hope you’ll be able to come along and participate!
DATE & TIME: Tuesday, July 2 2013 at 7AM EST (11:00 GMT). Check your time here.
Chat Topic: “Using Social Media & Twitter to Connect & Collaborate Globally”
WHY should teachers explore the use of Twitter and social media tools to learn, share, connect, and collaborate globally? Which tools do you use and why?
WHAT experiences, lessons, projects have resulted from your use of social media for educational purposes?
WHAT challenges and obstacles did you face, and how did you overcome them?
WHICH resources, hashtags, mentors, and online communities would you recommend to teachers new to social media?
